ECO-FORMADORES

An eco-trainer is a professional who guides individuals or groups in developing their ecoliteracy. The Ecoliteracy Hub brings together eco-trainers from diverse backgrounds to offer their facilitation services based on eco-competence development.

ECO-FORMADORES

Eco-trainers in the Ecoliteracy Hub community are experienced non-formal trainers and facilitators who are committed to supporting the development of eco-competences in a variety of educational settings.

They have completed a comprehensive training of eco-trainers, consisting of 100 hours of in-person and online training. They come from diverse professional and educational backgrounds and bring years of varied experience, they are all familiar with the Green Competence Framework and are skilled in designing and supporting eco-competence development processes.

Eco-trainers are actively engaged in the Ecoliteracy Hub’s professional community, which aims to strengthen collaboration around ecoliteracy development and foster networking among individuals, organizations, and educational institutions.

As of 2025, the eco-trainers pool includes 15 members. The path to becoming an eco-trainer is a learning process designed by the Ecoliteracy Hub Steering Committee.

Individual professionals and non-formal trainers who successfully complete the Eco-trainer Program and meet the requirements stated in the Strategy are eligible to apply for membership to the Eco-trainers’ Pool.

Future open calls for eco-trainers will be announced on this website and through our social media channels.

ASSOCIATE TRAINERS

We believe we can’t and don’t want to do all the work alone! Instead, our goal is to build a network of trainers who share our passion for developing eco-competences across various settings. Associate trainers have not participated in our training programs, but their expertise, background or location fit and complement the pool of eco-trainers very well. They can bring fresh perspectives we’d love to include.

If you’re a trainer or facilitator eager to promote ecoliteracy and focusing on the development of eco-competences, you’re welcome to join us as an associate trainer.

Just fill out the application form, and your profile will be listed on this website. We’re excited to expand our community and help connect trainers with those seeking learning opportunities, creating more chances for collaboration and impact. We love seeing more people join this great mission!

Looking for a trainer? We recommend searching both among eco-trainers and associate trainers to find the best fit for your learning event.
